Flickr Photographer against Flickr Video
Today, just accessed on Flickr, the first image that I saw was:
Flickr users are not waiting ... was born groups against videos on flickr.
Protests are numerous ... and these groups already counting thousands of subscribers.
We Say NO to Videos on Flickr
NO VIDEO ON FLICKR!!!
On the contrary are emerging groups favourable to video on flickr ... but users for now are very poor!

Just my two cents on the issue. These video-on-flickr crap has caught many, me included, by surprise.
I can see (now) how this decision that had already been decided by Yahoo! when it bought Flickr. They might have thought 'Hey, why not to buy something with a huge following so we don't have to start from scratches when we'll start our money-machine video service...'
Fact is, Flickr as we've known it might very likely be no more, and what really pisses me off if the fact I put money on it and was not even told (not to mention) asked of their big corporate plans. I mean, I love videos, I've got a YouTube account where I upload my stuff for FREE and that does not bother me a bit. And YouTube when it started didn't trick anyone.
If things do not change (i.e. NO VIDEOS ON FLICKR) I will not renew my annual subscription.
